The mixer gives us the ability to load the complete sound by either using the Mix channel or individual channels for more control, i welcome this feature as i can tweak the sound directly from the GUI. The two images above Shows the 1st Violins patch loaded and the concept is the same for most part of the CS 2.1 where we have the mic, level and pan controls on the left, In the center we find the Matrix / advanced Tabs and on the right Play position, Reverb / more options.

The GUI of CS 2.1 i felt that i was in for a treat, this is a cleverly designed GUI that feels like its been designed to guide the users to the sound they are after. With the 2.1 update 2 more patches named Full Ensemble and Lite Ensemble have been included to give even more of that full ensemble sound. The patches have been setup so when all patches are loaded you get what is known as a “Standard” String ensemble with 6 Basses, 12 1st Violins, 8 2nd Violins, 7 Violas and 7 Cellos. The original CS 2.0 came with 5 Patches: 1st Violins, 2nd Violins, Violas, Cellos and Basses. Cinematic Strings is a 21,1GB Library for Kontakt that also is supported by the FREE version Kontakt player.
